Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2025

Welcome to HomePageLink.pro (the "Platform"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform as a buyer or a webmaster (seller of links). It also explains your rights under applicable privacy laws like the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

By using HomePageLink.pro or creating an account, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Information We Collect

We collect various types of information from you to provide and improve our services. This includes:

  • Account Registration Information: When you register an account, we ask for an email address and may request additional details such as your name or contact information. You will use one account for both buying and selling links on the Platform (accessing buyer or webmaster features as needed).
  • Payment and Payout Information: If you purchase links (buyer), your payment details (e.g. credit card or other payment information) are processed by third-party payment providers (like Stripe or PayPal) – we do not store full credit card details on our servers. If you sell links (webmaster), we collect the necessary payout details for sending you earnings (such as your PayPal/Payoneer account email or other payment account ID). You may also need to provide billing details (e.g. name, business name, or tax ID) for invoicing purposes.
  • Website and Profile Information: If you are a webmaster selling links, you will provide information about your websites (such as domain name, site category, metrics, and the duration you will place links). This information is used to create your selling profile on the Platform.
  • Automatically Collected Data: Like most websites, we collect certain data automatically when you interact with the Platform. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referral source (the site or link that led you to our Platform). We also use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and track usage of our site (see Cookies and Tracking Technologies below).
  • Communication Data: If you contact us or participate in surveys, support chats, or forums, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, and the content of your messages).

We do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, health information, etc.) from users, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (see Children's Privacy below).

How We Use Your Information

We process your personal data only for legitimate purposes in connection with operating our Platform and providing services to you. These purposes include:

  • Providing and Maintaining Services: To create and manage your user account, enable marketplace transactions (buying or selling links), and provide the features of our Platform in accordance with our Terms. For example, we use your information to identify you as a user, display your profile (for webmasters), and facilitate link purchase orders.
  • Processing Transactions and Payments: To allow buyers to purchase link placements and to pay webmasters their earnings. We use your information to process payments, send payouts, and keep records of transactions. Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Payoneer) will use your payment data to complete the transactions, as described in their privacy policies.
  • Communication: To contact you about your account or transactions (e.g. order confirmations, invoices, payout notices), to provide customer support, and to notify you of important changes or issues (such as updates to our policies or security alerts). We may also send you informational or marketing emails if you have consented to receive them. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • Site Analytics and Improvements: To analyze usage of our Platform, improve the user experience, and develop new features. We use analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to gather data on how users interact with our site (e.g. which pages are visited, how often, and from where). This helps us understand performance and optimize our services. We may also use Google Search Console data to monitor our website's visibility and troubleshoot issues, which involves viewing aggregated search and traffic data.
  • Enforcing Terms and Legal Obligations: To enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of the marketplace. We may use personal data to investigate and mitigate fraudulent or illegal activities. We also process data as needed to comply with applicable laws (for example, fulfilling tax and accounting requirements or responding to lawful requests from authorities).
  • Marketing and Promotions (with Consent): If you explicitly agree, we may use your email to send newsletters or promotions about our service. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time, and we will not spam you.
  • Other Legitimate Interests: We may use your data for other legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining site security, debugging and fixing errors, or in an aggregated/anonymized form for business analytics.
  • Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR): If you are in the European Economic Area, our legal grounds for processing your data include: your consent (for example, for optional marketing emails); performance of a contract (to provide the services you requested, process transactions, etc.); compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests (such as improving our services and preventing fraud), balanced against your data protection rights.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience on HomePageLink.pro. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They help the site function and remember your preferences. For example, we use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your language or other settings, and track activity on the Platform.

We also utilize third-party cookies/services such as Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about site usage (like your IP address and pages visited) and provides us reports that help us understand website traffic and improve our services. These analytics cookies may identify your browser or device, but not you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings (note that some site features might not function properly without cookies).

Most web browsers allow you to control or delete cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note, if you disable cookies, some parts of our service (like staying logged in or remembering preferences) may not work correctly.

For more information, see our [Cookies Policy] (if we have a dedicated Cookies Policy page), which provides additional details on the types of cookies we use and your choices.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on trusted third-party service providers to operate our Platform and perform certain business functions. These third parties only receive the information necessary to provide their services and are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and secure. The key service providers we use include:

  • Payment Processors: We integrate Stripe, PayPal, and Payoneer to handle payment transactions. If you are a buyer, the payment details you enter at checkout (such as credit card information) are transmitted directly to the payment processor via secure encryption. We do not store full payment card details on our servers; Stripe/PayPal securely process and store this information on our behalf. If you are a webmaster receiving payouts, we share the necessary personal and payment details (like your name, email, or account ID) with PayPal or Payoneer in order to send your earnings. These payment providers are responsible for safeguarding your payment data, and we recommend reviewing their privacy policies for more information on their practices.
  • Analytics and Performance: We use Google Analytics (as described above) to understand site traffic. We may also use Google Search Console to access data about search performance of our site. These Google services may collect information such as your IP address or cookies when you use our Platform. Google is a third-party that may process data in the United States; however, Google Analytics is configured to anonymize IP addresses in the EU, and Google adheres to the EU-U.S. data transfer frameworks. (See Google's Privacy Policy for details.)
  • Email and Communication Tools: We might use third-party email service providers or customer support platforms to send transactional emails (for example, account verification, password resets, notifications) and to manage support requests. These providers will have access to your email address and any information necessary to send the communication. They are also bound by privacy obligations.
  • Hosting and Infrastructure: HomePageLink.pro is hosted on servers provided by third-party hosting companies. Personal data you provide is stored in databases on secure servers. Our hosting providers implement their own security measures and may store data in various regions (we strive to use providers with servers in jurisdictions with strong data protection laws, such as within the EU, when possible).
  • Other Service Partners: From time to time, we may use additional services such as analytics tools, marketing platforms, or fraud prevention services. We will ensure any such partners are reputable and have appropriate data protection measures in place.

We do not allow third parties to use your personal data for their own marketing or other purposes not related to providing our service to you. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for any purpose.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We treat your personal information with care and confidentiality. We will never sell your personal data to unrelated third parties. We only share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: As noted above, we share data with vendors and contractors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, data hosting, analytics, customer support). They will process your data only under our instructions and for the purposes set out in this policy, and are obligated to protect it.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency). For example, we may release information to comply with a subpoena, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • Protection of Rights: We may disclose personal data when we believe it is necessary to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, or to investigate or protect the rights, property, or safety of HomePageLink, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection or security threats.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, investment, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will ensure the new owner continues to respect your personal data as outlined in this Privacy Policy, or we will notify you and ask for consent if required by law.
  • With Your Consent: In situations where you explicitly consent to or request data sharing (for instance, if you want us to share your testimonial or connect your account with another service), we will share your information accordingly.

Note that we may share aggregated or de-identified information (which cannot be used to identify you personally) with third parties for any purposes. For example, we might publish aggregate statistics about overall site usage or link marketplace trends. This information will not include any personal data.

Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. In general, this means:

  • Account Information: We retain your account data while your account is active. If you deactivate or request deletion of your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days), except for information we are required to keep by law or for legitimate business purposes. For example, we may retain certain data for a period after account deletion to comply with tax/accounting rules or to resolve disputes. Collaborator, a similar platform, retains user data for up to 12 months after account deactivation to allow easy reactivation or handle disputes. We will not keep your data longer than necessary.
  • Transaction and Payment Records: We retain records of transactions (purchases and payouts) as long as needed for financial reporting and compliance (e.g., accounting standards may require keeping invoices and payment records for a number of years).
  • Communications: Any communications you have with us (support emails, etc.) may be kept until we no longer need the information and then deleted or anonymized.
  • Analytics Data: Data collected via Google Analytics and similar tools may be stored by those providers. We typically review aggregated analytics, and personal identifiers in analytics are either short-lived or anonymized by Google. You can also clear cookies to remove past analytics data associated with your browser.

Once the retention period expires or the data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data. If deletion is not immediately possible (for example, because the data is stored in backups), we will isolate the data and ensure it is not actively processed until it can be removed.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement a variety of technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption: The Platform is protected by encryption in transit. For instance, any sensitive information (like login credentials or payment data) transmitted through our site is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. This helps prevent eavesdropping on data as it travels over the internet. We also encrypt personal data in our database where feasible.
  • Access Controls: Personal data is stored on secure servers and is accessible only by authorized personnel who have special access rights and a valid business need. Our team members and contractors who handle personal data are bound by confidentiality obligations. We apply the principle of least privilege, meaning each person or service is given the minimum access necessary for their role.
  • Password Protection: User account passwords are stored in a hashed form (not in plain text) to prevent misuse even if our database were compromised. We encourage you to choose a strong password and keep it confidential.
  • Network & System Security: We use firewalls and monitoring to protect our network and prevent intrusion. Our servers are regularly updated with security patches. We also employ anti-malware and other protective software to guard against threats.
  • Organizational Measures: We train our staff on data protection best practices. We have procedures to handle any suspected data breach, including notifying affected users and authorities when required by law.

While we strive to protect your data, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee 100% security. You share and transmit information at your own risk. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the appropriate regulatory authorities as required by law, without undue delay.

International Data Transfers

HomePageLink.pro operates online and may serve users around the world. Depending on your location and where our service providers are situated, your personal data may be transferred to, and stored on, servers in a country different from your own. In particular, if you are located in the European Union or UK, please note that some of our third-party providers (such as Stripe, PayPal, or Google) are based outside of the EU/UK (for example, in the United States).

When we transfer personal data from the EU/EEA or UK to a country that may not have equivalent data protection laws, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by GDPR. This may include using European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses, relying on a provider's certification under an approved data transfer framework, or other lawful mechanisms to ensure your data is protected. We only work with reputable partners who are committed to protecting personal data.

By using our services, you understand that your information may be transferred to our facilities and those third parties with whom we share it, as described in this Privacy Policy, even if they are located in other countries. However, such transfers will always be done in compliance with applicable privacy laws and with adequate protection for your information.

Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or other jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. We are committed to facilitating the exercise of these rights. Subject to certain legal exceptions, these include:

  1. Right of Access: You have the right to request confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data, and if so, to access that data and receive information about how we use it. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (we will provide this in a commonly used electronic format).
  2. Right to Rectification: You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected, and to have incomplete data completed or updated. You can also update certain information by logging into your account settings.
  3. Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You may request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or if you withdraw consent (where applicable) or object to processing and we have no overriding legitimate grounds to continue, or if the data was processed unlawfully. Upon your request, we will erase your data unless an exemption applies (for example, we may retain data if required for legal obligations).
  4. Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances – for instance, if you contest the accuracy of your data, or if you object to our processing and we are evaluating your request. When processing is restricted, we will store your data but not use it until the issue is resolved (except to the extent allowed by you or required for legal reasons).
  5. Right to Data Portability: You have the right to obtain your personal data that you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have that data transmitted to another controller where technically feasible. This right applies when the processing is based on your consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means.
  6. Right to Object: You may object to our processing of your personal data when such processing is based on legitimate interests or public interest and you believe your rights and freedoms outweigh our interests. You also have the absolute right to object to your personal data being used for direct marketing at any time. If you object, we will consider whether we have any compelling legitimate grounds to continue processing (we will always honor an objection to direct marketing).
  7. Right to Withdraw Consent: If we rely on your consent to process any personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal. For example, you can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link, or by contacting us.
  8. Right to Lodge a Complaint: If you believe we have infringed your data protection rights, you have the right to file a complaint with your local supervisory data protection authority. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please consider reaching out to us.
  9. Exercising Your Rights: You may contact us at any time to exercise the above rights or ask questions about your personal data. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (to ensure we don't disclose data to the wrong person). We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any event within one month as required by GDPR (this may be extended by an additional two months for complex requests, but we will inform you if an extension is needed). Exercising these rights is free of charge unless the requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a resident of California, you are protected by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (as amended by the CPRA). This law provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information, as described below. This section applies only to California residents.

Categories of Personal Information Collected: In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined in CCPA) from users: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address); customer records information (such as payment or billing information you provide); commercial information (such as records of the services or products – links – purchased or sold via our Platform); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as browsing history or usage data on our Platform via cookies and analytics); and potentially professional information (if you provide a company name or website related information). We collect these categories of information from the sources and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy (see Information We Collect and How We Use Your Information above). We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CCPA (like precise geolocation, social security numbers, etc.), nor do we knowingly collect data of minors under 16 without consent.

Disclosure of Personal Information: We may disclose the categories of personal information listed above to third-party service providers for business purposes (such as to our payment processors, analytics providers, or cloud hosting providers) as described in Data Sharing and Disclosure. In the past 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes: identifiers, customer records information, commercial information, and internet activity information. We do not sell personal information for monetary value, and we have not sold or shared (for cross-context behavioral advertising) personal information about our users in the past 12 months.

As a California resident, you have the following rights under CCPA:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose to you the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. You also have the right to request information about the categories of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain exceptions allowed by law). Once we receive and confirm a verifiable deletion request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies. For example, we may retain information needed to complete a transaction you initiated, detect security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or other CCPA-recognized exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: CCPA gives you the right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information or the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. However, as stated above, we do not sell your personal information to third parties. In the event we ever consider selling personal data, we will provide a clear opt-out mechanism on our site ("Do Not Sell My Personal Information") and honor your choices.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means, for instance, we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service just because you exercised your privacy rights under CCPA. However, please note that if the exercise of your rights limits our ability to process your data (for example, if you request deletion of all your data), we may not be able to provide you with certain services that rely on that data.
  • Exercising CCPA Rights: To exercise your rights to know or delete, you (or your authorized agent) can contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below. We will need to verify your identity (or your agent's authority) before fulfilling a CCPA request. This might involve asking you to log in to your account or provide specific information about your interaction with us so we can match it to our records. We will respond to your request within 45 days as required by CCPA (with an extension of an additional 45 days if necessary, with notice to you).

Children's Privacy

Our Platform and services are not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years old. If you are under 16, please do not register or use our services without verifiable parental consent.

In addition, in compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Our website and services are all directed to individuals who are at least 16 years old (and in certain jurisdictions, we may require users to be 18 or older to enter into contracts).

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 (or under 16 in the case of EU users) without proper consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 may have provided us personal information, please contact us so that we can investigate and delete it.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes to how we handle your personal data, we will notify you by email (sent to the address associated with your account) or by prominently posting a notice on our site, prior to the change becoming effective. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when the latest changes were made.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any updates or changes, you should stop using your account and our services.
